FellowshipTerra Santa Overseas Scout Fellowship is an ideal network of catholic guide and scout groups from Italy, Palestinian Authority and Israel promoted by “Compagnia of San Giorgio”, symbolically united under the same flag and by the solemn signature of an official brotherhood agreement directed towards the promotion of catholic scouting in Holy Land, the development of scout pilgrimages and the building of peace taking as own the objectives and the method which direct the action of the Catholic Church according to Pope’s intents.

The Flag has been made to mark this ideal brotherhood: Saint George is in the center, as well as in the blazon of the “Compagnia”; the colours are those of scouting (green, red and gold); on top the writing “Terra Santa Oversaes Scout Fellowship”; at the bottom the name of the guide or scout group owner of the flag (e.g. Chapter of St. Joseph Girl Guides Bethlehem). The “Compagnia” uses it as field flag for the “Route” in Holy Land, having the writing “Executive Committee”.

THE BROTHERHOOD AGREEMENT
Brotherhood agreement - English

Taking the flag of “Terrasanta Overseas Scout Fellowship” given to us by “Compagnia of San Giorgio” we acknowledge to belong to an ideal community based on the being part of the Catholic Church and on the commitment to promote peace and development of Holy Land according to the spirit and values of catholic scouting and guiding.

Respecting history and identity of everyone, “Terrasanta Overseas Scout Fellowship” means to make grow and live the brotherhood among groups and communities belonging to it, either spiritually or operationally, with experiences and initiatives of meeting, exchange, cooperation, training and cultural study in depth.

We want to promote and foster scout way pilgrimages and “routes” (i.e. scout treks) in Holy Land in order to contribute to Christian education of scouts and guides so that they can be aware of the historical truth of the Gospel, ready to testify their own faith in everyday life following Saint George’s paragon.

We want this since we are convinced that catholic scouting shall, can and will be part of the irreversible process of peace in Holy Land acting as a go-between for the various ethnic groups, religions, cultures and generations, referring explicitly and highly to the Teaching of the Roman Sovereign Pontiff, our ideal, spiritual and cultural reference.

Acting so we want to play our part in the Christian community so that it shall be respected and recognized for its solidarity actions for all, it shall be alive and present in Holy Land and shall be able to play its essential role of service to build peace, freedom and common welfare, persisting in the custody of holy places and in the conveyance of the Faith received from Jesus. We find that taking this commitment is a natural continuity which comes from the Scout and Guide Promise and Law that unify us beyond the seas and that are the cardinal points of the education and of the orienteering of life for free and strong men and women.
